Job Description:
A telecaller job involves making outbound calls to generate leads and sales, and handling inbound calls for customer support and inquiries. Responsibilities include explaining products/services, following up on leads, maintaining call logs and customer databases, and resolving complaints. Key skills are excellent communication, persuasion, and the ability to handle rejection, along with proficiency in using CRM software and meeting sales targets. 

Key responsibilities
  • Outbound calls: Contact potential and existing customers to promote products or services, generate interest, and close sales.
  • Inbound calls: Answer calls from customers to address their questions, concerns, or complaints.
  • Customer management: Maintain accurate call logs and customer records in a database or CRM system.

Lead generation and follow-up: Follow up on leads to convert prospects into customers and nurture relationships with existing clients.Sales and performance: Meet daily/weekly call targets and achieve sales or engagement goals.Problem-solving: Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional manner.Market research: Gather information from the target market to understand customer needs and trends.Reporting: Document customer interactions and provide feedback to the sales or support team. 

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales ability: Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to drive sales.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and work under pressure.
  • Technical skills: Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with telecalling software and CRM tools are a major plus.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and/or relevant regional languages is often required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; a degree in sales or marketing can be an advantage.
